Natyarpana's Annual showcase June 1, 2008 at the Hamilton Fine Arts Center, Sussex, WI. Show starts 3 pm, Seating begins 2 pm

Natyarpana offers lessons in Bharatnatyam from Introductory through Advanced levels. Classes are offered for both Children and Adults in MADISON and MILWAUKEE area.


THE BEGINNER
-Students will undergo a series of 100 basic steps following the school’s ‘pani” (style) and the basic theory/shlokas


INTERMEDIATE
- Students learn jhatis, kavithuvams, alarippu and jatiswaram. Continue learning basic theory


ADVANCED
- Students learn a repertoire, a margam, consisting 7 basic items


ADVANCED THEORY AND NATTUVANGAM CLASSES
- Students learn to recite jhatis and use the thalam (cymbals)


POST ARANGETRAM TRAINING IN MARGAMS
- Learning new set of items and present solo concerts


TEACHER TRAINING
- Undergo training in conductiong dance classes, receive apprentice training in conducting dance lessons


CARNATIC MUSIC
- Classical music Classes are offered for beginners, intermediate and advanced music students with theory of classical music


SPIRITUAL ELEVATION SECTION
- Natyarpana’s new 'spiritual elevation' section targets the students in the United States help connect to the spiritual aspect of the sacred art form through spiritual interpretations, yoga exercises for flexibility and introduction to classical Music.
